WELCOME TO JONSON BEAUMONT
WE BELIEVE RECRUITMENT IS ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS…
In 2022 Anne Harnetty, Managing Director of Jonson Beaumont and Jonson Beaumont Core, published a book – Mergers With the Benefit of Hindsight.
Now in May 2024
She is a contributing author to Talent in the Legal Profession: How to Attract, Retain and Engage Top Talent. Published by Global Law and Business.
Here is a message from her –
“I have already thanked my co-authors but they deserve recognition David Sparkes, Paul McCluskey, Peter Noyce, Clive Knott, Douglas McPherson and Martin Soulsby.
I would also like to thank every Managing Partner and CEO, who participated. You were generous with your time when I interviewed you to get your insights on M&A and as you reflected on the why’s and wherefores of integration, you are too numerous to mention but you know who you are!
Many of you will look at the cover and say “Well that jigsaw piece just doesn’t fit” and you’re right and that was my intention because just one mis-step, one piece that doesn’t fit in can throw M&A and integration totally off balance.
It has always been my intention that I produce a practical guide, a no-nonsense directory with information for others who might be contemplating M&A, from a peer group of Managing Partners and CEOs that enhance how others go about the process and help them avoid the issues they encountered, and highlight what was done so well. If even one story from them cuts down on errors, then I have been successful in what I started out to do. If however you want a mighty legal tome, this is not for you, I would like to see a well thumbed book covered in highlighter as people relate to what is important to them and I think that’s what we delivered.”
Available from all good bookshops including – Brown Dog Books, Amazon, Waterstones, WHSmith, and Blackwells.
At Jonson Beaumont we have always said that our business is about relationships and since the pandemic, we believe in that more than ever. We are keeping in touch and it’s been a fine balance between wanting to reach out to people we have worked with for many years and not encroaching when financial year-end and its aftermath is happening, the ever evolving hybrid working gives everyone new challenges. We are keeping in touch and are developing even deeper relationships with our candidates and clients.
Advisors or recruiters? We spend a lot of time with Boards sharing our knowledge and advising on various scenarios. We have never charged for advisory work because we have always wanted to be viewed in that rather over-used but none the less relevant phrase “trusted advisors”. Now more than ever we are seeing a rise in demand for that advice and we are here to support you when required in any way we can.
We love meeting our candidates and clients but like many others we have had to create a new sense of normal, which essentially means that we are pretty much carrying on as normal, remotely when needed to and hopefully meeting in person when we can.
We remain positive about the future knowing that after the worst of times we will find the best of times, risk will bring opportunities that we may not have imagined. We know the extreme pressure you are under but if you want to chat or email, please do get in touch.
Jonson Beaumont provides specialist recruitment services in the professional services sector. We recruit accounts, finance, operations, IT, human resource and marketing staff. As a private company, we are driven by the needs of our clients, not by outside shareholders. We understand how recruitment directly impacts the success of your business. That is why we steer away from quick fixes and focus our efforts on delivering lasting value to our clients.
We continually strive not to be the biggest, but to be the best in our field. We believe recruitment is about relationships and we consistently produce results by genuinely knowing our candidates and clients, because to us, it is not just about filling a job vacancy. Our clients and candidates come largely through recommendation, which is a true validation of how we work. Spending time to get to know new, and keeping in touch with existing clients and candidates is paramount to us, as that is the way we gain a true understanding of the critical developments within our client’s businesses and our candidate’s careers. We maintain long-term relationships with our clients, which puts us in a unique position to find exactly the right fit for experienced professionals in an environment where they can add value and continue to grow.
Each of our consultants have at least 20 years experience within their specialist field and therefore offer an excellent foundation of practical knowledge as well as personal experience at strategic decision making level. This is what enables us to identify the unique requirements for each position, and to understand the prevailing culture within each firm we support.
